Description:
From above, the thallus is a very dark, greenish-gray, but once you turn it over you can see the white underside with light brown apothecia. The lobes are often overlapping and close together. Overall, a fairly small lichen compared to other more common foliose lichens. I usually only find these after a windy day, and usually attached to spruce twigs.
Habitat:
I found them on the ground, but likely fell from high up in the trees. Above were some very tall Sitka Spruce trees. Rural neighborhood
