Field Notes

Description:

Whitish thallus, sometimes very visible,other times just little grains between the apotecia. This specimen is 2 cm wide. Apotecia are 0.5-1.5 mm disks, abundant, densely distributed and sometimes deformed by mutaul pressure. They have a white margin, thick and pruinose, and flat disk grey or pale-bluff colored.

Habitat:

On the bark of a poplar tree
