Field Notes

Description:

Small leaf warbler, smaller and tinier than a house sparrow, about 10 cm in length, olive-green above and off-white to yellowish below, and a well defined yellowish supercilium. Nightmare to ID, because of its resemblance with Wood and Willow warblers (P. sibilatrix and P. trochilus).

Habitat:

This is a common eurasian leaf warbler; observed here in peripheral urban setting, on edges of Tbilisi town center but on cliffs of protected Botanical Gardens.

Notes:

Unfortunately for this warbler habitat, as everywhere these days, plastic garbage introduces itself - and that plastic bottle was well beyond my reach.
