Field Notes

Description:

Lichen with primary thallus squamulose and secondary thallus fruticose. It presents small erect grey-green squamules with white under-surface. The podetia expands smoothly to wide cup, sometimes with marginal projections. Podetia and cups with small, granular soredia.

Habitat:

It is a common soil lichen on shady, moss-covered banks and mossy low parts of trees.
