The Purdue Arboretum project was officially launched in 2009. The arboretum project is intended to increase the number of woody plant species on campus for learning, engagement and discovery purposes. If you can, place your spotting in the exact location on the map where the tree or shrub is located. If the tree is included in the "Trees of Purdue" walking tour you can include the trail color and tree number. http://www.arboretum.purdue.edu/

The mission of The Purdue Arboretum is to collect and display woody landscape plants from around the world in a way that enhances the educational, research, and outreach mission of Purdue University, promotes environmental sustainability, and increases the beauty of the Purdue campus.
The Purdue Arboretum plans to collect and display the best woody plant selections for use in managed landscapes of Indiana and the greater Midwestern US. Besides Indiana natives, expansive collections of plants from around the world will be established. http://www.arboretum.purdue.edu/
