Field Notes

Description:

A nocturnal medium-sized katydid flew into the room attracted by the lights. It seems to mimic green leaves but has bright yellow hind legs which may stand out. Possibly a female. Long antennae, wings, and jumping legs are typical of katydids.

Habitat:

Rainforest bushes of Tawau Hills Park, Tawau, Sabah, Malaysia (Borneo)
