Harlequin ladybird
Harmonia axyridis

Field Notes
Description:
Highly variable in colors and patterns, a fact to which it owes its English name. This specimen black with four yellow spots, two large and two smaller. The black of elitrae is so shiny it acts as mirror (on photo No 4, you can see my son's silhouette reflecting on beetle's back). Large for coccinellid beetle, reaching some 7 to 9 mm in length. Highly domed with "smooth" transition between the dome and head (photo 2).
Habitat:
The species is native to eastern Asia, but has been artificially introduced to Europe, as auxiliary in agriculture. It is now common, well known, and spreading in Europe, but also on other continents. Here observed in local forest like park, at the outskirts of the town center
Notes:
Larvae was also observed some 10 days ago roughly in the same spot ( http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/1620936030 ) .
