Mission Description
4th grade students will conduct a DATE Campus Tree Tour to investigate and identify the trees in our schoolyard.
Mission Instructions
I. Identify the trees to investigate in your schoolyard.
II. Take pictures of the trees in the area.
III. Use Leaf Snap and Project Noah app to identify the trees.
IV. Upload the pictures to the Project Noah website.
V. Collect leaf samples of each tree.
VI. Take a picture of each leaf and complete online research to collect detailed information.
VII. Create a book with a page of each tree, including a picture of each leaf and leaf sample.
VIII. Identify how we use trees in society and history and their importance to our ecosystem.
